In the suite Voyages (Travels) Mrs. Lankester has set to music six impressions collected during several stays in France. Originally the six pieces were part of different ballet music scores. In this excellent arrangement by Marcel Peeters they have been gathered into one suite in which the travel impressions serve as a guideline. The first part suggests a Village Fair, whereas the second part expresses explicitly the composer's admiration for Paris in The Invitation. The third part, Nostalgia (Le Lac) is a rather nostalgic reverie about a French lake. The fourth part Reminiscences of Daumier, has to be considered as a tribute to the 19th century painter Honoré Daumier of Marseille, famous for his political caricatures. The fifth part, Homage to Mompou, honours the memory of the Spanish composer and pianist Federico Mompou, creator of the primavista style. The suite closes with a cheerful Final Dance (Le Retour), depicting the journey back home.

In de suite Voyages heeft mevrouw Lankester een zestal impressies, die zij op reis in Frankrijk opdeed, verklankt. In feite werden deze zes stukken oorspronkelijk als delen van diverse balletten gebruikt. In dit prachtige arrangement van Marcel Peeters worden zij verenigd tot een suite waar de reisindrukken als een rode draad doorheen lopen.Eerst is er de verklanking ven een feest in het dorp, Village Fair, terwijl het tweede deel, The Invitation (Paris), in feite gestalte geeft aan de bewondering van de componiste voor deze sprankelende stad. Deel drie, Nostalgia (Le Lac), is wellicht de uitdrukking van een knipoog naar de bekende negentiendeeuwse schilder uit Marseille Honoré Daumier, die vooral door zijn politieke karikaturen beroemd werd. Deel vijf, Homage to Mompou, is een hulde aan de Spaanse componist Federico Mompou, bekend om zijn primavista stijl. Het geheel wordt afgesloten met Final Dance (Le Retour), een stuk dat de terugkeer naar huis uitbeeldt.
