Claude Debussy was a real Impressionist, as he said himself: nothing is more musical than a ray of sunlight'. Besides orchestral music like Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune', La Mer' and Pelléas et Melisande' he wrote a number of songs as well. Dutch arranger Erik Somers transcribed three of Debussy's most beloved songs for Soprano and Wind Ensemble: Paysage sentimental', Pierrot' and La Belle au Bois dormant'.
