Carl Nielsen (1865-1931) is probably the most famous danish composer of all times. Among his mot important works are his six symphonies, the wind quintet, the two operas "Saul and David" and "Masquerade" and his clarinet concerto.
Nielsen also write music to several poems. One of these are "Fascinated Evening Air" which he wrote music for in 1914. The poem is written by Adam Oehlenschläger.
Stig Gustafson has written this masterful arrangement for wind band.

[NO]Carl Nielsen (1865-1931) er trolig den mest berømte danske komponist gjennom tidene. Han er særlig kjent for sine seks symfonier, sin blåsekvintett og operaene "Saul og David" og "Maskerade". Han skrev også melodi til en rekke dikt. En av disse er "Underlige Aftenlufte" som han tonsatte i 1914 med tekst av Adam Oehlenschläger.
Stig Gustafson har skrevet et mesterlig arrangement som har gjort "Underlige Aftenlufte" mye spilt også for blåseorkestre.
