"The Definitive Bartók Edition" (l'édition Bartók définitive) présente pour la première fois un choix effectué parmi les plus belles pièces de l'immense uvre pédagogique pour piano de Bela Bartók. Ce recueil contient ainsi des chefs d'uvre tirés de "Pour les enfants", "Mikrokosmos", "Dix pièces faciles", Chants de Noël roumains", "14 Bagatelles", et bien d'autres. Les pièces sont réparties dans chacun des deux volumes par degré de difficulté croissante, de manière à servir de soutien au propos pédagogique instrumental. Le CD également contenu propose l'enregistrement de l'intégralité des pièces à des fins de démonstration. L'interprète en est le pianiste, organiste, compositeur et arrangeur Iain Farrington, qui a notamment, lors de la cérémonie d'ouverture des Jeux olympiques de Londres en 2012, été le pianiste d'un sketch joué aux côtés de Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), accompagné par le London Symphony Orchestra placé sous la direction de Sir Simon Rattle.
