Three American Hymn Preludes - Violine, Cello, Piano B. Joyce

These three preludes retain the primitive, open harmonies of early American hymnody. The first is a quiet, worshipful introit; the second, a somber depiction of Christ's sacrifice; and the last prelude imitates the joyous strumming of banjos and energy of fiddles.
