Trio Sonata F major

Zimmermann, Leipzig issued an edition of this triosonata as early as 1927 - even though it had been transposed to G major in order to achieve a more brilliant sound. Martin Nitz based his new edition on a manuscript which is kept at the Bibliothèque Royal de Musique in Brussels. Finally, this sonata can once again be looked at in its original state. Although the manuscript explicitly mentions the flûte traversière, the composition can also be performed with an alto recorder.

Sonate en trio en fa majeur

L'édition de cette sonate en trio parue déjà en 1927 aux Editions Zimmermann de Leipzig transposait la sonate en sol majeur pour la rendre plus brillante aussi bien pour la flûte traversière que pour la viole de gambe. Pour cette nouvelle édition, Martin Nitz a utilisé les parties de la source conservée à la Bibliothèque Royale de Musique de Bruxelles. C'est ainsi que la sonate est maintenant de nouveau disponible dans sa version originale. Bien que le manuscrit soit intitulé flûte traversière, il peut être joué aussi à la flûte à bec alto.
