Study and mark up the scores provided as if you are going to rehearse the band. Use the basic analysis provided in the book to help guide you.

Then, use the Interactive Practice Studio (access is provided with purchase) to listen to a recording of a live school band rehearsing excerpts of the piece. As you listen, answer the question, What would I do if this were my own ensemble?

Write your answer on the Response Sheet and compare it to the group of 50+ expert evaluators who contributed their own responses. Tally your score and improve your abilities on the second take or the subsequent excerpt.
