Fourth Suite (City of Music) Alfred Reed

[DE] Der 1. Satz "Intrada" war ursprünglich als eigenständiges Werk von Alfred Reed geplant und soll einen musikalischen Eindruck der Eröffnung eines großes Festivals mit Fanfaren und dramatischen Highlights darstellen.

Der 2. Satz "Aria" ist eine lange, fließende Melodie mit warmen Harmonien und instrumentalen Farben, während der 3. Satz "March" das Werk mit einer unkonventionellen Behandlung der traditionellen Form durch unübliche Harmonien und instrumentale Farben abrundet.

The movements: Intrada, Aria, and March, all are written to challenge mature bands and this work displays why Alfred Reed’s music is a favorite of upper level groups around the world.
