On a small island between Indonesia and Australia every year a strange event takes place. Out of the dense forest millions of red crabs start their journey to the other site of the island. This amazing specticle occurs only on Christmas Island, The score Christmas Island describes this wonderful event. This is a composition by the very recognizable and impressive composer Alex Poelman (1981). Skilfully written and orchestrated, Molenaar Edition is proud of this young and energetic composer!

Dans une petite île entre l'Australie et l'Indonésie se produit chaque année un évènement xtraordinaire. Venant des fôrets, des millions de crabes rouges commencent leur traversée de l'île. Op een klein eiland bij Indonesie en Australie vindt elk jaar een bijzondere gebeurtenis plaats. Vanuit de dichte bossen wagen miljoenen rode krabben de oversteek naar de andere kant van het eiland. De partituur Christmas Island beschrijft deze prachtige gebeurtenis. Een compositie in de inmiddels zeer herkenbare, indrukwekkende Alex Poelman stijl. Vakkundig gecomponeerd en geïnstrumenteerd.
