After publishing the Trio No. 6 in G major some time ago as ZM 30210 ( where it is called No. 18 by mistake), we now want to continue the series of all six trios. Rolla was a violin player himself and later on, he especially concentrated on playing the viola. Thus he seemed to be predestined to compose pieces with an instrumentation like this one. For a short time, he taught the violin to the most famous violin player of his time, Niccolò Paganini.
