Musical miniatures are among the typical forms of the 19th century. In contrast to the monumental creations for opera stages and concert halls, the miniature compositions originated from the idyll of bourgeois salons. Some pieces of this genre have been compiled here for flute and piano, their purpose being to have pleasure in making music. With their level of difficulty ranging between advanced elementary level and intermediate level, these duets are suitable for music lessons, pupils' auditions and Music Festival competitions, but of course also for enjoyable music-making at home, as was their originally intended use.
Im Schwierigkeitsgrad zwischen gehobener Unterstufe und Mittelstufe angesiedelt, eignen sich diese Duos für den Unterricht, für Schülervorspiele und "Jugend musiziert"-Wettbewerbe, aber selbstverständlich auch zum unterhaltsamen Musizieren in den eigenen vier Wänden.

Les miniatures font partie des formes musicales typiques du 19e siècle. À l'opposé des créations monumentales pour la scène et les salles de concert, les miniatures prennent leur origine dans les salons bourgeois. Quelques pièces du genre ont été réunies ici pour flûte et piano dans l'intention de se faire plaisir à faire de la musique. Leur degré de difficulté oscillant entre un niveau élémentaire avancé et un niveau intermédiaire, ces duos conviennent aux cours de musique, auditions d'élèves et au concours "Jugend musiziert" mais surtout pour jouer tout simplement chez soi, ce qui était le but initial.
