Two Easy Pieces

Bernardo Pasquini (1637 - 1710) worked as an organist at various churches in Rome. The piece Folia da Espagna had originally been composed for keyboard instruments (harpsichord). The Englishman William Byrd (1543 - 1623) worked as a court organist at the Chapel Royal in London and was the most important composer of the Tudor period. He wrote music for the Catholic and Anglican Churches, works for string instruments, madrigals and canons. The versions presented here for a mallet duet are of easy difficulty and are especially suited for young percussion players who are looking for material they can use for soirées, background music or Christmas concerts.

Deux morceaux faciles

Bernardo Pasquini (1637 - 1710) fut organiste dans différentes églises de Rome. L'?uvre Folia da Espagna fut composée à l'originie pour instrument à clavier (clavecin). L'Anglais William Byrd (1543 - 1623) fut organiste de la cour de la Chapel Royal de Londres et fut le compositeur le plus important de l'ère Tudor. Il écrivit de la musique sacrée pour les églises catholique et anglicane, des ?uvres pour cordes, des madrigaux et des canons. Les présentes versions pour duo d'instruments à maillet sont faciles et déstinées à de jeunes percussionistes cherchant des pìèces pour une soirée de concert, un encadrement musical ou un concert de Noël.
