*(Japan), 10. Mai 1868, +8. November 1941. Er trat in jungen Jahren in das japanische Marinemusikkorps ein, das er bis 1917 dirigierte. Während einer Europa-Tour im Jahr 1907 feierte er mit diesem Orchester beachtliche Erfolge, man nannte ihn einen "japanischen Sousa".
