Leo Stanley), geb. in Shadwell, England, 9. Dezember 1884 (1895?), gest. Dovercourt, England, Februar 1966. Alford Kenneth studierte 1904 bis 1906 an der Royal Military School of Music, wurde 1906 Organist und stellvertretender Direktor an dieser Schule, 1908 Kapellmeister des 2. BataillonsThe Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, 1927 Kapellmeister der Royal Marines Band und 1930 Direktor bei den Royal Marines, Plymouth Division. 1944 trat er in den Ruhestand. Er wird als der bedeutendste Marsch-Komponist Großbritanniens bezeichnet. Randolph Alford besuchte ebenfalls die Royal Military School of Music; er leitete die Kapelledes 2. Bat. in Essex und die Band of the Royal Corps of Signal. Bekannt wurde er als Marschkomponist und durch seine Tätigkeit in Blasmusik-Organisationen.
