Born in Valencia, he studied music at various institutions, obtaining several higher education qualifications and other professional qualifications of various kinds.
He has taught saxophone, choir, orchestra and instrumental ensemble at various music schools and conservatoires.
He has run summer courses on saxophone technique, advanced training and performance.
As a conductor, he has led several marching bands and taken part in various band competitions, winning first prize with honours for one of his works for band entitled Banáskula.
He holds a PhD in Music from the University of Valencia, having successfully defended his doctoral thesis The Madrid Municipal Symphonic Band. Performers of the First Hundred Years of a History, which was unanimously awarded the grade outstanding cum laude by the examination board. This thesis was published by Ediciones La Librería, Madrid, and was nominated for the Euterpe Music Awards in the publication category in 2009.
He contributes articles on wind bands to various magazines and gives lectures.
He has published numerous works in various styles and for different instrumental ensembles, including pieces for the saxophone, as well as educational books for the saxophone.
He is currently a tenured professor of saxophone at the José Iturbi Municipal Conservatoire in Valencia.
