Carl Strommen has arranged a collage of favorite Christmas carols in a variety of styles and moods. A majestic introduction featuring 'Hark! the Herald Angels Sing' opens the work leading into a brisk low brass (and woodblock) rendition of 'Jingle Bells.' Quiet, reverent treatments of 'It Came Upon a Midnight Clear' and 'Greensleeves' provides effective contrast with their beautiful harmonies and melodic lines. A grand restatement of 'Hark! The Herald Angels Sing' closes out this enjoyable Christmas medley.
