The author of Argentinian Tango and Folk Tunes for Violin (ED 13379), Ros Stephen, presents a wide-ranging collection of Klezmer tunes and Jewish melodies for violin. Highly flexible to use, the pieces may be performed by a solo violinist or in a variety of instrumental combinations. The music has been carefully edited to create stylistic, authentic arrangements. Ornamentation, bowing and fingering have been included to enable stylistic performances, and there is also guidance on general style, as well as adding your own ornamentation, embellishment and improvisation. The volume is accompanied by a CD with a recording of all tunes performed by Ros Stephen with a live backing band, as well as play-along versions of all tracks.

Ros Stephen, l'auteure à qui l'on doit déjà « Argentinian Tango and Folk Tunes for Violin » (ED 13379), présente maintenant un vaste recueil de klezmer et de mélodies juives pour le violon. Les morceaux, très souplement adaptables, peuvent être joués en violon solo, mais peuvent également être interprétés par différents effectifs instrumentaux. Les partitions sont très soigneusement éditées de manière à procurer des arrangements stylistiquement authentiques. Ornements, coups d'archet et doigtés ont été ajoutés afin de permettre une véritable approche stylistique. Le volume est accompagné d'un CD comprenant toutes les mélodies, enregistrées en live par Ros Stephen elle-même, accompagnée d'un ensemble instrumental, ainsi que des play along de toutes les pistes.
