This composition is "based on the rhythm 'Old Time Religion'". It was commissioned by students, colleagues and friends of Wendell O. Evanson, Director of Bands (ret.) Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, Arkansas. This title opens in the key of A-flat. It changes to E-flat at measure 26. The opening meter is 4/4 with some meter changes to 3/4 and 2/4 and returning to 4/4. There are many tempo changes throughout. The flute and clarinet each have solos.
