Lavender's Blue

Lavender's Blue Rob Romeyn

Rising Band
"Lavender's Blue" is an English folk song dating to the 17th century, and has been recorded in various forms since the 20th century, including pop versions that have become hits. This beautiful arrangement by Rob Romeyn captures the unique simplistic sensitivity of the original, and is a wonderful lyrical work for young band. Changing textures and varied harmonies make this an excellent teaching piece, along with the development of lyrical phrasing, as all sections have melodic lines. A valuable addition to the young band repertoire.
