Tschaikowsky composed his Marche Slave in five days in the fall of 1876, completing the score on October 7 (and beginning his Symphonic Fantasia Francesca da Rimini the same day).It's maybe not his most delicate work but on the other hand, this marche shows how Tschaikowsky as no other plays with emotions of his audience.
