Czech Suite Paul W. Whear

While much of composer Paul Whear's efforts have been in advanced-level music, he has also written some very significant works for lower level bands. In Czech Suite, Dr. Whear respectfully explores the simple and lovely folksongs of the Czech heritage. With exploratory solo passages (cued in other instruments, as well) throughout, beautiful melodies, and exciting ensemble sections, this suite is a delight to play and to hear.
