"In his compositions for symphonic wind band, the composer Otto M. Schwarz always uses traces of other styles. In the works For the Next Thousand, Millennium and Asteroid, he used musical sketches treated with a movie-like technique, whereas in ?Jazz Waltz N.° 1 he turned to a big band sound. In all cases, however, he makes an effort to maintain the wind band's symphonic sound.
