Nico Samitz has been composing for chamber ensembles since his school days. For over ten years he has been writing works in a wide variety of genres for the BlechReiz BrassQuintett ensemble, in which he himself plays trumpet and piano. His field of expertise ranges from classical pieces to jazz and meditative music and even to pop-oriented compositions.
While honing his skills in ear-training and composition at the Mozarteum, Salzburg, Nico became acquainted with a wide repertoire of works as a trumpet player with the Munich Symphony Orchestra, The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Bavarian State Opera, all of which have influenced his writing style.
The driving force behind his creative work is a winning combination of passion, the fun of music-making and a desire to express, through the medium of music, feelings that are difficult to put into words.
Like many of his works, Nico composed The Joy of Freedom for the BlechReiz BrassQuintet. The catchy tune is reworked in a variety of styles throughout the entire work, giving it the quality of a true earworm'.

Nico Samitz compose pour des ensembles de chambre depuis l'école. Depuis plus de dix ans, il écrit des uvres dans les genres les plus divers pour l'ensemble "BlechReiz BrassQuintett", dans lequel il joue lui-même de la trompette et du piano. Son domaine d'expertise s'étend des pièces classiques au jazz et à la musique méditative, en passant par les compositions pop.
Alors qu'il perfectionnait ses compétences en matière de formation auditive et de composition au Mozarteum de Salzbourg, Nico s'est familiarisé avec un large répertoire d'uvres en tant que trompettiste de l'Orchestre symphonique de Munich, de l'Orchestre philharmonique de Munich et de l'Opéra d'État de Bavière, qui ont tous influencé son style d'écriture.
La force motrice de son travail créatif est une combinaison gagnante de passion, de plaisir de faire de la musique et de désir d'exprimer, par le biais de la musique, des sentiments qui sont difficiles à mettre en mots.
Comme beaucoup de ses uvres, Nico a composé The Joy of Freedom pour le "BlechReiz BrassQuintet". L'air entraînant est retravaillé dans une variété de styles tout au long de l'uvre, ce qui lui confère la qualité d'un véritable "ver d'oreille".

Nico Samitz componeert al sinds zijn schooltijd voor kamermuziekensembles. Al meer dan tien jaar schrijft hij werken in de meest uiteenlopende genres voor het ensemble "BlechReiz BrassQuintett", waarin hij zelf trompet en piano speelt. Zijn vakgebied varieert van klassieke stukken tot jazz en meditatieve muziek - en zelfs tot popgeoriënteerde composities.
Tijdens het aanscherpen van zijn vaardigheden in gehoortraining en compositie aan het Mozarteum in Salzburg, maakte Nico kennis met een breed repertoire aan werken als trompettist bij het Münchner Symphonie Orkest, de Münchner Philharmoniker en de Beierse Staatsopera, die allemaal zijn schrijfstijl hebben beïnvloed.
De drijvende kracht achter zijn creatieve werk is een winnende combinatie van passie, het plezier van muziek maken en een verlangen om, door middel van muziek, gevoelens uit te drukken die moeilijk onder woorden te brengen zijn.
Zoals veel van zijn werken componeerde Nico The Joy of Freedom voor het "BlechReiz BrassQuintet". Het aanstekelijke deuntje wordt door het hele werk heen in verschillende stijlen bewerkt, waardoor het de kwaliteit van een echte 'oorwurm' krijgt.
