Concerto for solo timpani and Symphonic Band
In this concerto for four timpani and band, the soloist will make use of all his technical resources to tackle a very demanding score from a technical point of view, and in many moments will be of authentic virtuosity. The dialogue between the soloist and the band will be a constant throughout the work.

The composer wants us to see this percussion instrument not only from a rhythmic and percussive point of view, but also from a melodic and colourful one, with the inclusion of sound and timbre effects that are due to the enormous evolution in the possibilities of the instrument and that make it possible today to resort to resources that would have been unthinkable a few years ago.
