L'uvre pédagogique anglophone en deux volumes The Saxophone Method s'adresse aux débutants sans notions musicales comme aux saxophonistes d'un niveau avancé qui souhaitent rafraîchir leurs connaissances ou affiner leur technique. En commençant avec les bases comme la posture, la technique respiratoire et l'embouchure, la méthode permet une pratique motivante grâce à une sélection de pièces du monde entier aux styles variés. Des pistes MP3 enregistrées par des professionnels sont disponibles en téléchargement gratuit et donnent le sentiment de jouer, dès le début, avec un grand orchestre. Les deux volumes (Repertoire Books, ED 13921 + ED 13922) proposent un large choix de répertoire, calqué sur la progression de la méthode. Le volume 1 guide pas à pas les bases du jeu comme la posture, les doigtés, l'embouchure et la technique respiratoire ; des textes courts et informatifs sont illustrés de dessins et de photos. On peut être accompagné dès les premières pièces. Le volume 1 va du Mi au Do aigu en comprenant tous les demi-tons et permet ainsi de poser de bonnes bases pour jouer en orchestre ou à l'école. Le volume 2 s'étend progressivement dans le registre aigu jusqu'au Ré aigu et complète le registre grave jusqu'au Si. Des exercices et des morceaux adaptés consolident les acquis de l'élève.
