Widmann's chamber music-filled work from 1999 was commissioned by the Siemens Cultural Program. As the title suggests, this early work refers to the famous poems of Goethe, but the vocal part is restricted to vocalises and reflects the poetic text without directly quoting it. Experimental and intense sound constellations as well as the expressive vocalises characterize this early composition.

L'uvre de musique de chambre de Widmann de 1999 était une commande du Siemens Kulturprogramm. Comme le titre indique, cette uvre de jeunesse se réfère aux poèmes célèbres de Goethe, mais la partie vocale se limite à des vocalises et reflète le texte poétique sans le mettre en musique directement. Les constellations sonores expérimentales et intensives ainsi que les vocalises expressives caractérisent cette composition de jeunesse.
