Revelation in the Courthouse Park is a musical setting of the tragedy The Bacchae of Euripides that Harry Partch completed in 1960. The story is set in America, but also in Old Thebes: Partch compares American, extremely religious followers with the insane women from the Greek tragedy. The play takes up many of the characteristics of his earlier major works and therefore requires an orchestra consisting of almost all of the instruments built by him by then.

Revelation in the Courthouse Park est une adaptation musicale de la tragédie Les Bacchantes d'Euripide achevée par Harry Partch en 1960. L'histoire se passe en Amérique, mais aussi à la vieille Thèbes. Partch fait la comparaison entre des dévots extrêmement réligieux américains et les femmes délirantes de la tragédie grecque. La pièce saisit beaucoup de caractéristiques de ses premières uvres principales et, par consequence, réquiert un orchestre qui se compose de prèsque tous les instruments construits par lui-même jusque là.
