Ballad for Band Greg Danner

In this gorgeous new work, composer Danner pays homage to the lyrical works of Frank Erickson. The composer's tasteful use of anticipations, suspensions, and inner moving parts add intensity to the work as it moves inevitably from the opening c minor section to a glorious closing section in the parallel major. This is a lyrical, contemplative piece that allows for a great amount of expressive playing from the ensemble.
