The famous pioneer of original Dutch wind music realised in the early fifties that the wind band had no classical repertoire at all. He thought this shortage should be completed with original compositions instead of transcriptions and arrangements. This little symphony was an immediate success and still belongs to the repertoire of many bands. We thought it was high time to publish a new edition with a full score.
