Der britische Komponist Edward Elgar schrieb neben seines berühmten 'Pomp and Circumstances' auch zwei Symphonien. Aus der ersten Symphonie ist dies das Anfangsthema. Ein wunderschöner, spätromantischer Choral, worin allerlei Klangfelder den Zuhörer nach England am Anfang des 20. Jahrhundert mitnehmen.

The British composer Edward Elgar, aside from writing his famous Pomp and Circumstance marches, also wrote two symphonies. This piece is the opening theme of his first symphony. A beautiful late romantic chorale, which transports the listener to early 20th century England.
