SÜDKULTUR is a mixture of fanfare and symphonic march with classical elements. The piece begins with a fanfare, which is continually interspersed with little classical interjections. A TRIO section follows whereupon a cor anglais introduces the new theme. Finally, the piece ends with a renewed repetition of the introductory fanfare in a somewhat varied form.
