This collection of flute pieces has evolved from the practice of flute teaching, containing arrangements of classical repertoire works as well as compositions by Günther Johannes Schmitz. Alongside arrangements of the first 'Gymnopédie' by Satie and 'Morgenstimmung' by Edward Grieg, there are compositions such as 'E Shtikl Babier', 'Celtic Sibiria' or 'Tanz des Schmetterlings' in which Schmitz has incorporated world music, jazz or impressionistic influences. Some pieces have already been used at the music competition 'Jugend musiziert' and proved their excellence.

Cette collection de pièces pour flûte est née de la pratique de l'enseignement. Elle contient des arrangements du répertoire classique et des oeuvres originales de Günther Johannes Schmitz. On y trouve par exemple à côté des arrangements de la première "Gymnopédie" de Satie et du "Matin" d'Edvard Grieg, des compositions telles que "E Shtikl Babier", "Celtic Sibiria" ou "Tanz des Schmetterlings" (Danse du papillon) dans lesquelles Schmitz a incorporé les influences de musiques du monde, du jazz et de l'impressionisme. Certaines de ces pièces ont fait leur preuve au célèbre concours "Jugend musiziert".
