The Easy Concert Pieces' series presents a varied selection of easy concert pieces for double bass and piano from the Renaissance, Baroque and Classical periods through to the modern era. To facilitate choosing individual pieces for performance and auditions at music schools, competitions or examinations these pieces have been ordered according to level of musical and technical difficulty. Book 1 (ED 22551) contains pieces in half and first position. Pieces in each position and some using position changes are presented from each era. Simple techniques such as portato, staccato and legato bowing are introduced along with pizzicato, using rudimentary dynamics ranging from piano to forte, crescendo and decrescendo and simple phrasing. The pieces selected here are varied in character with memorable tunes, a few different time signatures and simple rhythms. La série Easy Concert Pieces contient des pièces d'une difficulté facile à moyenne pour contrebasse et accompagnement au piano. Les morceaux, classés par niveau de difficulté en trois volumes, représentent de la musique de toutes les époques et peuvent être joués en audition, en concours ou pour des examens. Les Easy Concert Pieces constituent un complément motivant en cours. Toutes les pièces sont comprises sur le CD inclus, en version complète ou en playback (avec accompagnement au piano). Le volume 1 (ED 22551) contient des pièces se jouant sur la demi et la première position. Il y a des morceaux de chaque époque pour chaque position, ainsi que des pièces avec des changements de position. Différents jeux sont abordés, comme le portato, le staccato, le legato et le pizzicato, ainsi que des degrés dynamiques simples, de piano à forte, crescendo et decrescendo, et des phrasés simples. Les pièces choisies ont des caractères différentes, avec des mélodies faciles à retenir, des mesures variées et des rythmes simples.
