"Klassik für Kinder" ("Le classique pour les enfants") contient 29 pièces faciles et attrayantes pour flûte à bec et piano choisies dans quatre siècles de musique. À côté de pièces originellement pour flûte à bec, se trouvent également de nombreuses mélodies populaires de compositeurs célèbres, comme l'air de Papageno de Mozart, ou "Pour Élise" de Beethoven. Beaucoup de ces pièces peuvent être jouées dès la deuxième année de cours. Les pistes audio doivent permettre une première impression sonore, et faciliter ainsi l'apprentissage des morceaux. L'accompagnement séparé de piano permet aussi de faire de la musique sans partenaire spécifique. Les pièces sont volontairement enregistrées dans un tempo mesuré, afin de faciliter la participation à la partie de piano. Certains des accompagnements de piano sont délibérément conçus dans la facilité, afin de pouvoir également être joués par des élèves. Ainsi se trouve favorisée la pratique collective et existe la possibilité pour les élèves d'exécuter avec plaisir ces pièces ensemble devant un public.
