The Mexican expression 'mengambrea' refers to a bizarre mix of styles, a wild, yet well thought-out hotchpotch of tastes which refers both to the musical style of the work and to the obscure creations of the taco joints in Mexico City. Enrico Chapela, probably the most fascinating composer of the young Mexican scene, serves a very spicy meal which rounds off the smoky borrowings from speed metal music by means of counterpoint and skilfully seasons them with the colour of the saxophone sound! L'expression mexicaine « mengambrea » s'applique à un bizarre mélange de styles, à un pêle-mêle indescriptible, quoique mûrement réfléchi, de saveurs, qui se réfère à la fois au style musical de l'uvre et aux improbables créations des bars à tacos de Mexico City... Enrico Chapela, sans doute le compositeur le plus fascinant de la jeune scène mexicaine, nous sert ici un menu fortement épicé qui adoucit en contrepoint les sombres emprunts faits au speed metal et les assaisonne habilement avec le timbre coloré du saxophone. Attention, c'est très chaud... !
