This song has been one the most popular ballads in Norway since it was recorded by the group Vamp in 1993. The poem, written by Kolbein Falkeid, tells the story of a dream. A man recounts the story of a girl he once loved; he cannot forget her, and in the end he sails away to meet her in Tir n'a Noir The Land of Happiness.

[NO]Diktet Tir n'a noir er skrevet av Kolbein Falkeid. Øyvind Staveland skrev musikken og det ble først spilt inn på Vamp's CD Godmorgen, søster i 1993. Siden har det vært en av Norges aller mest kjente og kjære sanger.
Diktets motiv er fortellingen om en drøm. Det er en mann som forteller om en kvinne han en gang har møtt. De møttes i Tir n`a noir. Han kan ikke glemme henne, og til slutt seiler han for å møte henne igjen i Tir n`a noir - Lykkelandet.
