An algorithm is a procedure for solving a mathematical problem in a finite number of steps that frequently involves repetition of an operation.  Algorithms are frequently used in the programming sequences in computers.  The driving rhythms and mathematical 'feel' of Algorhythms lend a digital quality to the piece - and one that will quickly become a favorite for players and the audience.
