Andrew Pearce
composer / arranger
Andrew Pearce studied music at the University of East Anglia (1993-1996) and won the PRS Sir Arthur Bliss Scholarship to study Mmus Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music London, graduating with Distinction in 1997.
He has composed and orchestrated music for many films and commercials, including 30 Miles, Dark Corners, Modigliani and Fast & Furious 6. His traditional skills as an orchestrator are in much demand on advertising campaigns such as Vodaphone, Muller, Carling, Virgin Atlantic and Sony Skyfall 007, recording with large orchestras in Abbey Road and Air Studios, London.
In 1999 he was commissioned to compose the original logo music, Cine Dimanche for the French Television Channel TF1 and recently recorded a new signature theme, conducting the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
In addition to his Film & TV scoring assignments, Andrew has composed and produced a full symphonic album, Cinema Symphony, recorded by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
Andrew is known internationally as a composer/arranger for wind and brass bands with over forty titles published by Molenaar Edition BV, Netherlands. This association has led to numerous commissions, most recently by the Koninklijke Marechaussee to commemorate 200 years of the Dutch Kingdom and by Philip Cobb, principal Trumpet of the London Symphony Orchestra, who invited him to compose the major new work on his album Maestro - Concertino for Trumpet.
