Steve Nelson & Jack Rollins Komponist

Steve Edward Nelson (24. November 1907 - 13. November 1981) war ein amerikanischer Songwriter.

Der in New York City geborene Nelson arbeitete ab 1929 für Tin Pan Alley. Später schrieb er Country-Songs für Künstler wie Eddy Arnold und Guy Lombardo. 1950 erschien seine wohl bekannteste Komposition "Frosty the Snowman", die zusammen mit Jack Rollins geschrieben wurde. 1952 schrieb Nelson zusammen mit Rollins den Song, der für die Sicherheitskampagne von Smokey Bear verwendet wurde.
