Adomas Rekasius Komponist

Adomas Rekasius wurde 1974 in Vilnius, Litauen geboren. Er bekam seine erste Musikstunde im Alter von fünf Jahren an der Kunstschule in Vilnius mit dem Hauptschwerpunkt der klassischen Musik. Sein musikalisches Talent, sein absolutes Gehör wie auch seine Fähigkeit zu improvisieren wurden früh entdeckt. Und bald schon entschied er sich, ein professioneller Musiker zu werden. Nach seiner Zeit an der Kunstschule studierte er an der Hochschule für Musik in Litauen klassisches und Jazz-Piano. Später führte er sein Studium in Frankfurt an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst im Bereich der Jazz- und Popmusik fort. Er begann schon im Alter von 15 Jahren Jazz Musik live zu spielen und ist seither an vielen Wettbewerben und Festivals aufgetreten. 1998 gewann er den ersten Preis an der "Vilnius Piano Jazz Improvisation". Seit 2011 lebt und arbeitet er in der Schweiz als Jazz- und Pop-Pianist, Komponist, Arrangeur und als Lehrer am Konservatorium in Bern.


Adomas Rekasius was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. He had his first music lesson at the age of 5 at the School of Arts in Vilnius with the main toppic of classical music. His musical talent, his absolute pitch as well as his ability to improvise were discovered early. And very soon he decided to become a professional musician. After the time at the School of Art he studied at the Music Academy of Lithuania classical and jazz piano and then continued his studies at the Frankfurt Academy of Music and Performing Arts in the branch of jazz and popular music. He had started to play jazz music at the age of 15 and attended ever since many contests and festivals. In 1998 he won the first price at the Vilnius Piano Jazz Improvisation. Since 2011 he is living and working in Switzerland as a jazz and pop pianist, composer, arranger and as teacher at the Conservatory in Bern.
