Present Joys Walter S. Hartley

Present Joys is one of the five Sacred Harp hymn tunes featured along with Lenox, Cowper, Bridgewater, and Antioch in this marvelous medley for concert band. The Sacred Harp vocal tradition derives its name from The Sacred Harp song book in which a cappella singers face each other in a square seating arrangement and read shape note notation. This upbeat adaptation could serve as an excellent concert opener.
