The cantata 'Grief of Gravity' tells the story of two lovers: 'Awareness', consciousness that connects us all and 'Gravity'. For billions of years, 'Gravity' and 'Awareness' intertwined until a light beam does see them together. '

'Grief of Gravity' is an original composition for Symphonic Band and consists of three parts with a prologue and is musically composed on several basic ingredients: the note A, matching 'Awareness', the A as the first letter of the alphabet and the first note in this cantata, and the note G of 'Gravity', G-Force in other words the force of gravity. 'Grief of Gravity' is an original composition with very accessible music and beautiful melodies composed by the Dutch composer Monique Krüs. The lyrics are written by Irma Achten.
