The ensemble supports the alto sax soloist very well in this accessible rock ballad for developing jazz groups. The solo part is entirely written and features an arching melody that includes some bluesy references. Changes are also provided for the soloist for some ad libbed ornamentation of the melody and improvisation. Especially nice is an eight-bar band interlude that builds to the high point of the chart. Here's a terrific change of pace for your next concert and an excellent way to feature that alto sax soloist! Highly recommended!
