Blue Angels Overture John Edmondson

Composer John Edmondson brings us Blue Angels Overture, capturing the
excitement and daring of the U.S. Navys precision flight demonstration
squadron. A stately march in 6/8 opens the work, followed by a lyrical
section featuring a trumpet solo. For the finale, John Edmondson transforms
the soaring melody from the 6/8 march into a majestic 4/4. Commissioned by
the Wilson Junior High in El Centro, California, where the Blue Angels
practice in the summer months, this moving tribute to the U.S. Navy precision
flying team will be a thrilling addition to your next program.
