This is the theme tune for the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, and perhaps the definitive solo vehicle for Trombone, where the melody brings out the best of the instrument. This arrangement is true to the original, with the solo part written on 1st Trombone, excepting that the sax backings are not taken on full section clarinet doubles (including bass clarinet), but have reverted back to standard sax section voicing to avoid awkward, and nearly impossibly quick changing of instruments. The solo trombone range is from stave F# to high C#, and the arrangement is in the (original) key of D.
