1994 arbeiteten der Komponist (Sir) Elton John und der Textdichter Tim Rice zum ersten Mal zusammen für den Soundtrack des Disney Zeichentrickfilms 'The Lion King' der 1997 zu einem Broadway Musical adaptiert wurde. Beide Künstler trafen sich wieder für ihr neues Musical 'Aida'. Dieses Musical erzählt die klassische Liebesgeschichte vom ägyptischen Kämpfer Ramadès, der von zwei Frauen geliebt wird. Ton van Grevenbroek bearbeitete die schönsten Melodien für sinfonisches Blasorchester.
